DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that Marty Wenzig will be the speaker at our April meeting! Marty will be speaking on “Assessing Mottled Like Indications When Digitally Radiographing Austenitic Stainless-Steel Welds”. This will be a joint meeting with the local section of the American Welding Society (AWS) at Steamfitters Local 449 Offices & Events Center on Thursday\, April 21st. The social will start at 5:30pm with dinner and presentation to follow. \nMarty Wenzig is a past Section Chairman of Pittsburgh ASNT (1985 – 1986). He is also an ASNT NDT Level III and ASNT Fellow. In addition\, he was the President/CEO (1999 – 2020) of Industrial Testing Laboratory Services. Currently\, he is retired\, and on the ASNT LLC Accreditation Board. \nMarty recently authored an article that appeared in the January – February ASNT “The NDT Technician” on Assessing Mottled Indications in Austenetic Stainless Steel Welds. (The Article is also in the January issue of Materials Evaluation). \nWe hope to see you all there!
